Wall Mount Range Hood Installation
Preparing Your Wall / Mounting Information
ATTENTION HOMEOWNER: These installation steps are meant to be a general guideline for mounting and installing your wall mount range hood. If
you require assistance, please contact your local contractor. Please exercise extreme caution when handling a range hood to prevent risk of injury and electric
shock. Building codes will vary. It is the buyer or contractor’s responsibility to know local county or state regulations before installation of this range hood.
PREREQUISITES (FOR VENTED INSTALLATIONS)
 Preinstalled ventilation system and ductwork
 Preinstalled outside duct cap or weatherproofing
PREPARING THE LOCATION
 All wall mounted range hoods need to be installed and supported by studs behind the wall. In the event studs are not available at our recommended height of
29” - 31”, a support system will need to be retrofitted to your existing cross beams. All homes are different and installations will vary.
 A 3-prong US outlet will need to be installed behind the decorative chimney stack.
MOUNTING SCREWS INSTALLATION
 After determining the desired height, lift the entire range hood and the mounting bracket to mark the location of the screws. Another set of hands will be re-
quired. Ensure all surfaces are leveled.
 Drill 3/16” (4.8 mm) pilot holes at all locations where screws are being installed directly into studs.
 Install two M5 X 45 mounting screws with 10 X 38 wall anchors. Leave a 1/4” (6.4 mm) gap between the wall and the back of the screw head to the slide
range hood mounting bracket into place.
