Venting Methods
This power pack range hood insert is factory set for venting through the roof or wall.

Fasten all connections with sheet metal screws and tape all joints with certied Silver Tape or Duct Tape.
Use caulking to seal exterior wall or roof opening around the cap. See Figure 5.
Choose the required vent option. You can choose the TOP vent or the Rear vent.
1. Top Vent
* 6" Round Adapter
The Round Adapter is pre-installed for the top vent. You can use it directly. See Figure 1.

Adapter
-Remove the pre-installed Round Adapter. Keep screws to attach Rectangular adapter and Rectangular
duct transition.
-Place Rectangular Adapter and Rectangular duct transition with screws. See Figure 2.
2. Rear Vent
*6” Round Adapter
-Remove the Rear Vent Cover. Keep screws to attach Round Adapter to the rear vent.
-Remove the pre-installed Adapter from the top vent.
-Sealing the top vent, remove the vent cover from the rear vent.
-Remove the four screws that secure the blower system. Hold the blower to keep it from dropping as you
remove screws. Keep screws to re-attach the blower. Slowly rotate the blower system to align with the
mounting holes at the back of the insert— secure the blower using four screws.
-Attached 6” Round Adapter to the rear vent using screws removed from the vent cover. See Figure 3.

-Remove the pre-installed Adapter from the top vent.
-Sealing the top vent, remove the vent cover from the rear vent.
