2.4 Installing the base station components
2.4.1 BS site requirements
BS X-Pol RBS Txs and X-Pol RBS Rxs are mounted on elevated sites such as building rooftops or
towers. General site requirements apply to the building or tower as a whole. Rooftop/tower requirements
apply to the outside equipment environment. Equipment room requirements apply to the indoor
environment that houses the LMDS, power utility hook-ups, and passive components such a 12:2
Combiner/Splitters, Bias-Ts and lightning arresters.
General site requirements
The following general requirements apply.
Access to power
The equipment room must be provided with a power utility hook-up capable of supplying power to
the BS equipment.
