1 Getting started...................... 1.1 Set-up 2012D Removing and installing the back cover Place the SIM card with the chip facing downwards and slide it into its housing. Make sure that it is correctly inserted. To remove the card, press it and slide it out. Removing and installing the battery Your phone only supports mini SIM card. Do not attempt to insert other SIM types like micro and nano cards, otherwise this may cause damage to your phone.
Connect battery charger to your phone and plug into the socket. • Charging may take about 20 minutes to start if the battery is out of power. • Be careful not to force the plug into the socket. • The main socket must be close to the phone and easily accessible (avoid electric extension cables). 2 Your mobile........................... 2.1 Keys and connectors • When using your telephone for the first time, charge the battery fully (approximately 3 hours). 2.3.1 Widget bar Widgets are convenient shortcuts for quick access from the Home screen. You can customize widget bar by "Settings/Phone settings/Widget bar". 4 You can create, edit and receive SMS and MMS with this mobile phone. 5 Contacts............................ 5.1 Consulting your contacts You can access this function by selecting "Contacts" from the main menu. For dual SIM model, the complete contacts of both SIM1 and SIM2 are available in this menu (1). Searching for a contact 5.2 Adding a contact You can add a new contact to phone or SIM card by selecting "Add contact". Following fields are accessible when you create a new contact in the Contacts: Name, Number, etc.
5.3 Available options From the contact list, you can access the following options: Add contact Add a contact (name, numbers, etc.) in the Contacts. Send message S end an SMS/MMS to a contact you selected from Contacts. Modify the contents of a file: name, number, ringtone, etc. Edit the phone number before placing a call. Edit Edit before call Add to Blacklist Add the selected contact to blacklist. Add to Whitelist Delete Add the selected contact to whitelist.
7 Apps ............................... (1) Apps store is an online software store, where you can download and install applications and games on your phone. You can access this function by selecting "Apps" from the main menu. 7.1 Locate the item you want to download The Apps store home page offers several ways to find applications. It showcases different kinds of applications in Featured and Categories. Featured: This shows pictures of recommended applications. You can select one to view its details.
8 Apps Mgr.......................... When downloading games or applications has finished, the downloaded files can be found in 'Apps Mgr'. You can access and manage your downloaded applications and games from the main menu. 9 Camera.............................. Your mobile phone is equipped with a camera for taking photos and shooting videos that you can use in different ways: • store them as your creations on SD card or phone. • send them in a multimedia message (MMS) to a mobile phone.
9.3 Video 9.3.1 Framing mode When you enter the "Video" function through "Camera\Options\ Access video", you are in Framing mode. 18.2 Mobile Upgrade Using Mobile Upgrade tool you can update your phone’s software from your PC. Download Mobile Upgrade from ALCATEL ONE TOUCH website (www. alcatelonetouch.com) and install it on your PC. Launch the tool and update your phone by following the step by step instructions (refer to the User Guide provided together with the tool). Your phone’s software will now have the latest software. All personal information will be permanently lost following the update process.
20 Warranty............................. Your phone is warranted against any defect or malfunctioning which may occur in conditions of normal use during the warranty period of twelve (12) months (1) from the date of purchase as shown on your original invoice.
