10�3�2 Security
Encrypt phone
Require a PIN, pattern or password to decrypt your phone each time
you power it on.
To enable encryption, first set a screen lock, then select Require PIN
to start device.
Private mode
Touch to turn on/off private mode.
Set up SIM card lock
•Turn on Lock SIM card switch to lock the SIM card with a PIN
code.
•Touch Change SIM PIN to change the PIN code.
Make passwords visible
Turn on to show passwords as you type.
Device administrators
Touch to view or deactivate device administrators.
Unknown sources
Turn on to permit installation of applications that you obtain
from websites, emails, or other locations other than Google Play Store.
To protect your phone and personal data, download applications only
from trusted sources, such as Google Play Store.
Storage type
Your storage type is set to Hardware-backed by default.
Trusted credentials
Touch to display trusted CA certificates.
Install from SD card
Touch to install encrypted certificates from internal storage or SD card.
Clear credentials
Touch to remove all certificates.
Trusted agents
Open the setting to view and deactivate trusted agents. You must set
a screen lock first when you enable this function.
Screen pinning
When this function is enabled, you can always keep a window in view
by touching the Recent Apps button and then the pin icon. In this
case, the user cannot go to any other window or open any other app.
To stop pinning a window in view, long press Back key to unpin, then
enter your screen unlock password/PIN/pattern.
Apps with usage access
Touch to display the apps that can track what apps you are using, and
how frequently. Turn on to allow permission.
10�3�3 Accounts
Use the settings to add, remove, and manage your email and other
supported accounts. You can also use these settings to control how,
and whether or not, all applications send, receive, and synchronise data
on their own schedules, and whether all applications can synchronise
user data automatically.
