Making the most of your

11.1 Updates
You can use the Updates app or the Mobile Upgrade tool to download
and install the latest software version on your device.
11.1.1 Updates
Use the Updates app to update your device software. To access
Updates, touch the App drawer on the Home screen and select
Updates. Alternatively, go to Settings > About phone > System
updates.
Touch and the phone will search for the latest software. If you want
to update the system, touch the button, and when that’s finished,
touch to complete the update. Now your phone will have the
latest version of the software. turn on data connection or Wi-Fi before
searching for updates. Settings for auto-check frequency are also
available once you restart the phone. If you have chosen auto-check,
when the system discovers the new version, a dialog will pop up where
you can choose to download the update or ignore. A notification will
also appear in the status bar.
During FOTA downloading or updating, to avoid errors in locating the
correct update packages, do not change your default storage location
11.1.2 Mobile Upgrade
Download Mobile Upgrade from the alcatel website (www.alcatel-
mobile.com) and install it on your PC. Launch the tool and update your
phone by following the step by step instructions (refer to the User
Guide provided together with the tool). Your phone’s software will now
have the latest software.
All personal information will be permanently lost following the
update process. We recommend you back up your personal
data using Smart Suite before upgrading.
