CONTINUITY TEST.
The continuity test gives an acoustical signal when the connected
resistance is below about 50
; when checking fuses, bulbs etc, there is
no
need to read the display.
The same measuring-rules do apply as described under "RESISTANCE".
1. Connect the red test lead to the V/
/F input jack and the black test lead to the COM
jack.
2. Set the rotary switch to the position
3. The buzzer sounds if the resistance between the two leads is less than appr. 50
ohms.
TRANSISTOR TEST.
1. Set the rotary switch to position hFe.
2. Identify NPN or PNP and connect the transistor to the corresponding transistor jack
3. Read the hFe (beta or DC current gain) in the display.
