AUTO POWER OFF (TM-56 only)
After not being used for about 30 minutes, the tester goes into sleep-mode. Press the
ON/OFF button twice to power up again.
CHANGE BATTERY / FUSE
Before attempting to replace the battery or fuse, disconnect the test leads from any
energized circuit to avoid shock hazard and switch-OFF the tester.
1. Remove the measuring leads from the instrument.
2. Remove the two screws in the bottom of the case and remove the plastic cover.
3. A. Battery :replace the battery for a fresh 9V battery, preferably alkaline.
3. B. Fuse :remove the PCB (no screws) and replace the fuse (TM-36: 2A/250V
and 10A/250V, TM-56: 0,3A/250V).
4. Replace the plastic cover and close the tester.
Never throw away empty batteries but hand them over to your local depot
for chemical waste.
