🔨 INSTALLING THE JAMB
🔨 INSTALLATION
The jamb should be installed rst, without the doors, since it is comparatively lightweight and easy to maneuver into
place. There are usually four lugs (and sometimes six) welded to the jamb. These will be bolted into the framing from the
inside of the house using the 3 1/2” x 1/2” lag bolts.

This guide is written assuming that you have a double door. However, the installation of a single door is
essentially the same. Below shows a vertical cross section of a single door for reference:
WARNING initially, only fasten the left and right topmost lugs to the framing.
This is necessary to allow for some adjustment of the jamb later.
