D E S C R I P T I O N ‘~ .~ For electronic injection 1.7 engines’ ~ GENERAL DESCRIPTION . The JETRCNIC LE 3.2 electronic system consists an inductive discharge transistorized injection system equipbed with a control unit (CU). The ignition, how, ever is ensured by an electronic ignition system equipped with an electronic power module. The data necessary for controlling the system is colfecfed by means of sensors that transform the data into electrical signais.‘This data concerns: battery voltage l .

~ MA/N, COiMPQNENTS FUEL PUMP The pump is of the rotating type with cells Sand rollers, driven by an electric moto; which remains immersed in the fuel under pressure downstream the pumping ,unit.
i FUEL SYStEM 8’ a full load contact. In this way a signal is sent to the electronic CU when the ‘en’gine is running under conditions of ‘full load and the CU is able to alter the air-petrol ratio according to the requirements of th,ese engine conditions. When the aceelerator is released the fuel supply is tut off by means of the minimum throttle opening switch. When the accelerator throttle valve closes and the engine r.p.m. (s higher than 1600 r.p.m., the fuel’supply is tut off until the engine r.p.m.
The iollowing components are fore seen ~on~ly on models with catalytic converter. FiLtiEl+INLET F O U,F$EADED PETROL R Thé filIer inlet of the fuel tank is fitted with ~a special device which prevents ‘filling with petrols other than those whlich are unleaded. O’nly lthe~ delivery nozzles of unleaded petrol pumps are able to pass through the ne& of the filler inlet, thus opening ~the valve and filling the tank.
