Connecting The Radio To The Internet
Connection With USB Cellular Aircard
CAUTION!
Internet connection via a 3G key requires a subscription offer with a telephone operator. Using
this service can result in significant roaming charges. Check the conditions of your subscription
and consumption tracking with your operator.Alfa Romeo disclaims any liability for associated
costs.
1. Connect an Aircard to the radio using the USB cable.
A pop-up will appear.
2. Activate the 3G connection by selecting
.
•AStatus of 3G connection pop-up will appear, followed by another pop-up which will ask for
your PIN code.
3. Enter your PIN code using the CONTROL knob and ENTER button, then select OK. Check the
Memorize PIN code option if you would like your PIN code to be stored each time you tur n on
the radio.
4. Select yourAPN (Access Point Name) from the suggested list.This information is available in the
documentation provided with your 3G key.
The message 3G key configured appears.
5. Wait approximately 30 seconds until the connection is established.You can also push the BACK
button and browse the menus while the connection is being established.
Internet Connection via USB
If your mobile phone suppor ts 3G connection sharing via USB, connect your mobile phone to the
radio using the USB cable provided with your phone.
1. Ensure that your mobile phone’s keypad is unlocked, then connect the mobile phone to the
radio using the USB extension cable provided. This connection also enables you to recharge
your mobile phone’s battery.
NOTE:
Do not use the white iPod® USB cable to connect your phone to the radio.
2. Select your APN (Access Point Name) from the suggested list, then check the Select option.You
can modify this setting by selecting Configuration > Network > USB.
A pop-up window indicating that USB connection sharing has been activated will appear.
Check Connection Status
To check connection status, push the HOME button, select Settings > Network > Information >
Status.
