Sportiness at its heart The Brera combines evolved motoring with traditional sporting spirit. That is why it offers a choice of two brand new engines that embody all the technological know-how and excitement of Alfa Romeo whilst also respecting the environment. The first is the 1750 TBi Turbo Petrol 200 bhp engine. Thanks to generous torque at impressively low revs (maximum torque is delivered at only 1400 rpm), this engine offers superb acceleration without you having to “work” the gearbox.

Power, innovation, reliability Only the most thrilling engines will do for the Brera. In addition to the new Euro 5 engines, the Brera can also be equipped with the technically superb, 3.2 JTS V6 260 bhp with Q4 four wheel drive, also available with a Q-Tronic automatic transmission. The 3.2 V6 incorporates Alfa Romeo’s exclusive Twin Phaser variable valve timing system that delivers amazing torque even at low engine speeds. The Brera also comes with the 2.4 JTDM common rail turbo diesel.

Every Alfa Romeo has your safety as its priority Forget your worries and concentrate on enjoying the drive. The raised double wishbone front suspension and multilink rear suspension give you superb handling without compromising safety and stability in any way. To optimise handling, Alfa Romeo’s Electronic Q2 system uses the VDC control unit to create an effect similar to that of a limited slip differential, but using the car’s braking system instead.

If you love driving on challenging roads, remember that the 3.2 JTS V6 Q4 comes with permanent four wheel drive technology and a Twindiff central differential; an evolution of the Torsen C, that ensures permanent dynamic distribution of engine torque to all four wheels to match driving conditions.
