GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This device must be grounded. If it
should malfunction or break down,
grounding provides a path of least
resistance for electric current to re-
duce the risk of electric shock.
This device is equipped with a cord
having an equipment grounding
conductor and ground plug.
The plug must be inserted into an
appropriate outlet that is properly in-
stalled and grounded in accordance
with all local codes and ordinances.
WARNING:
Improper connection of the equip-
ment grounding conductor can result
in a risk of electric shock. Check with
a qualified electrician or service per-
son if you are in doubt as to whether
the outlet is properly grounded.
Do not modify the plug provided with
the device. If it will not fit the outlet,
have a proper outlet installed by a
qualified electrician.
Do not use any kind of adapter with
this product.
GROUND FAULT CIRCUIT
INTERRUPTER PROTECTION
This electric pressure washer is
equipped with a Ground Fault Circuit
Interrupter (GFCI) built into the plug of
the power cord for your protection. The
Consumer Product Safety Commis-
sion recommends that you test all
GFCI's once a month. Since the fre-
quency of pressure washer use varies,
we recommend that you test the GFCI
as part of your startup procedure each
time you use your pressure washer. It
might need to be reset before working
with the pressure washer. To learn how
to perform the GFCI test and how to re-
set it, visit http://www.karcher-help.com
and search for GFCI for further instruc-
tions.
DO NOT USE IF GFCI FAILS TEST.
NOTE: The actual appearance of the
GFCI may be different from this illustra-
tion.
