INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR 13 QUILTED FABRIC HAMMOCK MODEL 2932DL
INSTALLATION AND USE:
Your quilted polyester fabric hammock is ready for use. No hanging hardware is included with this unit. It may be hung between two
secure upright posts or trees, or may be used with a 15 foot hammock stand. Two trees or posts must be at least 15 feet apart. We
recommend a bowline knot (see illustration) when tying down ends along with heavy, durable rope or cord.
Natural Effects of Weathering from Sun and Rain Exposure:
Any fabric, wood, and/or metal products will deteriorate over time with exposure to the elements. As a result, they should be regularly
inspected and replaced periodically to ensure safety. Keep hammock out of direct sunlight and rain whenever possible. The more your
hammock is subjected to direct sunlight and rain the sooner the following will occur:
Ropes: Strength will be lost and may mildew if in kept in a shady damp area.
Fabric: Mildew and fading .
Wood: Wood spreader bars on hammock will become bleached and may turn gray. Varnish finish may wear off surface.
O-Ring: There is a chance for excessive rust when consistently exposed to rain, moisture, or water.
Check before each use (Do not use if you find any of the following issues):
Loose, frayed, weak, or untied ropes. Check ropes by pulling on them. If ropes are weak, the hammock may be unsafe for further
use.
Check for fraying at possible wear points:
o Where the ropes pass through the wooden spreader
o Around the metal ring at each end of the hammock
o Where the ropes intersect in the body/hammock bed.
Cracks or weak areas in the wood.
Weak fabric or stitching.
Warnings:
Maximum weight capacity is 500 lbs. NEVER exceed weight capacity, including the weight restrictions of hanging apparatus
(stand, posts, hardware, ropes, etc.).
Children should not use the hammock without adult supervision.
Always inspect the hammock and ties carefully before each use.
Examine the entire hammock for wear to avoid accidents.
Hammocks are designed for leisure and relaxation. It should not be used as a toy or a swing. Do not stand in the hammock at any
time.
Your hammock’s worst enemies are rain, sun and heat. To prolong the life of your hammock, store it in a safe dry place when not
in use. You may also choose to purchase a hammock storage bag, or cover with water resistant tarp when not in use.
Warranty:
Algoma Net Company products have a one year warranty to be free of defects in workmanship and. Obvious exposure to
weather conditions including rain, snow, and humidity are not covered under this warranty. Other damage not covered
under the warranty includes mildew, damaged caused by normal wear, improper care during storage, improper
maintenance, damage from pets or other animals, and improper installation.
