MOUNTING
All P-Series Gauges and PC-Series Controllers have mounng holes for
convenient mounng to at panels. These gauges are posion insensive and
can be mounted in any orientaon. The sizes and dimensions for the mounng
holes are shown on pages 51 to 67.
P-Series Pressure Gauges may be connected into your system with the ow
going in either direcon for ease of viewing the display. These units are shipped
with a plug for dead end applicaons. This plug should be removed for ow
through applicaons.
PC-Series Vacuum and Pressure Controllers are normally intended to control
the process pressure downstream of the controller. In order for this to occur the
controller should be mounted so the ow goes from le to right as you look at
the front of the unit. This puts the measuring poron of the device between the
valve and the leakage point where you are aempng to control the pressure
applicaon. Back-pressure controllers reverse this conguraon (see page 29).
PLUMBING
Standard P-Series Gauges and PC-Series Controllers have female inlet and outlet
port connecons. Welded VCR and other specialty ngs may have male ports.
The inlet and outlet port sizes (process connecons) for dierent ow ranges
are shown on pages 51-67.
Instruments with M5 (10-32) ports have O-ring face seals and require no
sealant or tape. Do not use tape with welded or O-ring ngs.
For non M5 (10-32) ports use thread sealing Teon® tape to prevent leakage
around the port threads.
the rst two threads. This will minimize the possibility of geng
tape into the ow stream and ow body.
When changing ngs, carefully clean any tape or debris from the port threads.
it is recommended that a 40 micron lter be installed
upstream of P and PCR-Series instruments and a 20 micron lter be installed
upstream of PC and PCD-Series instruments.
