Operation (contʼd)
Starting
1. Remove front cover.
2. Remove oil fill plug.
3. Fill with oil to top of fill hole. (see Fig. 1)
4. Replace fi ll plug.
5. Fill unit with fresh gas. (see Fig. 2)
6. Disconnect all electrical devices. (see Fig. 3)
7. Turn fuel cap to ON.
8. Turn fuel valve to ON position. (see Fig. 4)
9. Pull choke lever to START position. (see Fig. 5)
10. Turn power switch ON. (see Fig. 6)
11. Pull recoil starter. (see Fig. 7)
12. When machine starts, it will sputter, slowly push choke in until engine picks
up speed, level choke in the same position until engine warms up.
13. When engine is warm pull choke to the RUN position.(see Fig. 8)
14. The choke lever is not needed when attempting to start a warm engine.
15. To avoid fire, engine must be shut off before refueling.
To Turn Off:
1. Switch ON/OFF to OFF position, switch fuel cap to OFF, switch fuel valve to
OFF.
2. In case of emergency: If ON/OFF switch does not respond, shut fuel valve OFF
and pull choke to start the engine.
3. To store generator for long periods of time, while generator is running switch
fuel valve OFF and let generator run out of gas.
