While the engine is still warm, drain the crankcase oil by opening the oil
drain plug.
When all oil has drained, replace the plug and refill the oil reservoir with
clean oil.
Remove the screw plug on the cylinder head and refill ¾ of an ounce of
oil (22 CC) and replace the screw plug.
It is now necessary to turn the engine over without starting it.
Recoil Start: Push the decompression level down to the non-
compression position and hold it while pulling the recoil starter three
times.
Electric Start: Turn the engine for 2-3 seconds with the
decompression lever set in the non-compression mode and the key in
the "start" position.
Now pull the decompression lever up and pull the recoil starter slowly until
you begin to feel resistance. In this position both the intake and exhaust
valves are closed which prevents rust from forming inside the engine.
Wipe off any oil or dirt from the engine and store your generator in a dry
place.
