Light does not come on
or
Light comes on for only
a few seconds
Is the light sensor receiving enough light to trigger the switch?
Perform this simple test. Shine a flashlight into the light
sensor. The fixture should switch off after two minutes (there
is an approximate 2 minute delay). This means the sensor is
not receiving enough light.
First try to reposition the photo control cover. Twist the cover
to allow more light onto the photo control.
Change the direction of the light sensor by loosening the
screw in the center of the sensor receptacle.
Note: Do not loosen screw more than 1-1/2 turns. After
loosening screw, carefully turn receptacle in desired direction.
Tighten screw and reinstall sensor. Do not rotate more than
360 degrees.
Light does not shut off
during daytime
Light cycles on and off
Is the light sensor receiving too much reflected light?
Perform this simple test. Cover the light sensor with your
finger or a piece of black electrical tape. The fixture should
turn on after a slight delay. This means that extraneous or
reflected light from the fixture is causing the sensor to turn the
unit off.
First try to reposition the photo control cover. Twist the cover
to block more light from the photo control.
Is there power to the fixture?
Has the circuit breaker tripped?
Is the wall switch ON?
Is the bulb screwed in completely?
Is the bulb good? (Be careful not to over tighten.)
Is the sensor functioning properly?
Is the sensor locked in place?
Is light being reflected into the sensor, causing the fixture to
turn off?
Is the wiring to the unit loose?
TURN OFF POWER BEFORE CHECKING.
Check connections
Is the unit properly grounded?
