Installation Instructions
All Style Retro-Split Storm Collar Flashings
One Retro-Split Collar Includes:
1. One (1) All Style Industries Small Retro-Split® EPDM Storm Collar
assembly which includes one wrap-around skirt, one 3 in. dia. top plug,
and a stainless-steel marine grade band clamp.
Tools & Other Building Materials Required for Kit Installation:
1. One Nut Driver or Screw Driver
Installation of a Retro-Split Storm Collar Flashing:
A Retro-Split Storm Collar includes a top plug molded to correctly match the
geometric shape and size of a roof penetration which has already passed
through a roof flashing. The roof flashing raises the roof deck level higher than
any expected high rain water level, and the Storm Collar “Counter-Flashes” the
Roof Flashing creating a weatherproof assembly. It is necessary to order the
correct size Retro-Split collar plug in order to maintain a weatherproof
assembly.
In order to install a Retro-Split Storm Collar Umbrella, wrap the skirt around the
penetration and connect it by pressing the male locking end into the opening of a
female opening. Make sure all the pre-molded tabs are facing upward.
Now, open the cut plug and fold it around the roof penetration making sure that
the tab slots are facing downward. Loosely close the plug and insert the skirt
tabs up into the tab slots. Arrange the plug and skirt so that the connection joints
are not vertically aligned. This makes the finished assembly stronger. Wetting
the tabs with a little water can make the assembly slippery and a little easier to
