3. COMPRESSOR OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 3.1 MAINS OPERATION For home use, plug the unit into an electrical socket via the power supply unit provided (2.) as shown in figure A. If using this unit overseas please ensure that an appropriate adaptor for the country of visit is purchased prior to departure. 2. 1e. The unit can be operated with the battery fitted; however, this does not charge the battery. For Battery Charging Instructions see section 3.5 A 3.
3. COMPRESSOR OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 3.4 BATTERY 4a. The battery is supplied discharged, in some instances there may be residual charge only. Immediately charge the battery as directed in section 3.5 Battery must be charged and fully discharged at least 5 times in order to condition the battery to ensure normal battery life. Failure to do this may shorten battery life and affect the performance of the device. The battery has a multicolour LED (4a.) indicating the battery charge level.
4. NEBULISER OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 4.1 JET NEBULISER BOWL FAST TREATMENT Patients want the therapy session to be short. The Jet Nebuliser bowl supplied with NOMAD® NexGen is one of the quickest units in the market place. BIO-COMPATIBILITY NOMAD NexGen Jet nebuliser bowl and its accessories are manufactured from special materials to ensure wear resistance, non–toxicity and bio-compatibility (in conformity with Standard EN 30-993.
4. NEBULISER OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 4.2 INSTRUCTIONS FOR AEROSOL THERAPY Before each use, the nebuliser and accessories should be 10. cleaned according to the instructions in the section "4.3 9. Cleaning and disinfection". Single personal use of the nebuliser 8. and its accessories is recommended in order to avoid risk of cross infection. 1. 5. AIR FILTER The unit has an air inlet filter (1b.) which should be checked regularly and replaced when dirty or when its colour changes to ensure efficient compressor performance. Do not wash or re-use the old filter. Using the unit with a dirty filter may prevent it from working properly and result in damage that is not covered by the warranty. For spare filters contact your dealer or an authorised service centre.
