Section 2 Introduction How Your Dryer Works CYLINDER LINT FILTER EXHAUST FAN HEATER DUCT DRY14S The dryer uses heated air to dry loads of laundry. When the motor is started, the exhaust fan pulls air in through louvers at the rear of the dryer and over the heat source (burner flame for gas and heating element for electric). The heated air moves through the heater duct and into the cylinder, where it circulates through the wet load.

This happens if the collection occurs before the end of the cycle on the dryer. Also, it must be noted that the method used for the cycle count is similar to today's electro-mechanical counter and variances may occur due to the windows that exist.
