Section 2 Introduction How Your Washer Works MOTOR CONTROL BOARD (Located inside control hood) TEMPERATURE SELECTOR SIGNAL SWITCH EXTRA RINSE SWITCH TIMER DISPENSER DRAWER MIXING VALVE INNER BASKET HEATER ELEMENT OUTER TUB FLW1640S WATER PUMP General This frontload washer provides some of the same principles of operation as the typical topload washer.
Section 2 Introduction While water fills the inner basket, a column of air is trapped in a pressure bulb and hose. The air pressure continues to increase as the inner basket fills with water until it is great enough to activate the pressure switch. Then the pressure switch causes the wash fill to stop and starts the reversing rotational washing cycle.
