Designed to meet the unique and diverse
demands of multi-service networks, the wall-
or rackmountable WG1000 series passive
CWDM platform can aggregate up to 9
CWDM wavelengths from multiple sources.
All wavelengths can either be transported to a single
location or dropped at multiple locations using the
standalone add/drop multiplexers.Also, wavelength
re-use is possible by dropping the wavelength at one
location and re-using it elsewhere.This saves network
administrators sparing costs for both the CWDM
optics as well as the passive WG1000 series.
Due the modular nature of the 1RU WG1000 series,
entry costs are lowered and a pay-as-you-grow
approach can be taken. In addition, network planning
for the future can be considered by optimising the
network for future growth without total capital
equipment commitment.The result is a network that
is cost-effective to deploy and new services can be
added with minimum disruption to existing traffic.
