About the FDDI Uplink Card

The FDDI uplink card provides fiber optic connectivity between switched
Ethernet and Fast Ethernet networks an and FDDI backbone network. The
FDDI module supports two types of connectivity:
Single-attachment stations (SAS)
Dual-attachment stations (DAS)
The card also includes an optical bypass connector and LEDs that provide
visual status of the card (Figure 1).
