Connect hoses* as shown in the diagram below.

HOSE CONNECTION
Although drain connection may vary depending on
your circumstances, a typical installation is shown
at left. After the tub has been located over the exist-
ing drain, a “stub” is run up from the existing drain
in the floor. A threaded coupling is placed over the
stub, followed by a compression ring. Then the
threaded coupling is screwed onto the drain, form-
ing a watertight seal.
