5.4 Replacing the Internal Batteries (Continued)
Step 3: Battery Replacement
Procedure:

Disconnect the negative (black) battery lead
from the rear battery.
DANGER: Always remove this negative
lead first and connect it last.

Disconnect the positive (red) battery lead from
the front battery.

Remove the top shelf support and, if
attached, the seismic bracket.

Slide out the battery foam blocks and the
batteries.

Disconnect the batteries from each
other.
