The Alpha Communications® / Golmar EL502 DC to AC Door Strike
Converter is a compact assembly that is used in order to convert
the DC current normally provided by a Golmar intercom or video-
intercom system, to an AC output to power an AC type (buzzing)
electric door strike.
Typically, the EL502 mounts behind the intercom or video-intercom
door entry panel (if space allows) or adjacent to the
central equipment that powers the system.

The DC to AC Door Strike Converter(s) shall be Alpha
Communications® / Golmar EL502, or approved equal. EL502 shall
be mounted behind the door entry station, or adjacent to the
system's central equipment, based on the best location, and taking
into consideration temperature, etc.
Unit(s) shall be used to convert the DC door strike output of the
Golmar system to an AC output to power an AC (buzzing type)
electric door strike.
The EL502 module(s) shall have positive screw terminal
connectors.
Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical and
building codes.
