The Emergency Push/Pull Shower Stations shall be shall be Alpha
Communications® AlphaLinQ™ 100 series model EPS337, or
approved equal. Operation of emergency signals shall be
accomplished by a short pull on the nylon cord or by pulling /
pushing down on the Red lever marked 'EMERGENCY".
The Red "CALL PLACED" L.E.D. indicator shall flash to assure the
patient that the call has been placed. Switching mechanism shall
consist of a reliable DPDT switch.
The EPS337 is typically used used in wet or damp environments,
such as showers , bath or tub rooms, and features a magnetic
reed switch and rubber gasket.
All electronic components needed for these features shall be
mounted on a printed circuit board and all station components
shall be mounted an a rugged ABS plastic faceplate. The station(s)
shall be installed in a single gang ring with square box. Plug-in
connectors shall be provided for connections. The EPS337 shall be
UL® 1069 Listed to the latest standards.
Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical and
building codes.

The Alpha Communications® EPS337 Emergency Push/Pull Shower
Station may be used in any location where activation of an
emergency signal is required. All electronic components are
mounted on a circuit board. The EPS337 features a built-in Red
(flashing) LED, and 6 foot nylon pull cord.
Due to the flexibility of its design, it may be used as a PULL CORD
EMERGENCY STATION, OR a PUSH TYPE EMERGENCY STATION. The
pull cord supplied may be used for emergency call activation or if
so desired, the LARGE RED push/pull down lever may be used.
The combination of rubber grommet-ted mounting screws,
rubber mounting gasket, and completely sealed front faceplate
make it SPLASHPROOF (if properly installed). All electronic
components are mounted on a circuit board, including an industry
proven reliable reed switch for circuit initiation. The
activating magnet is mounted on the large pull-down lever which
is completely sealed.
The EPS337 is used primarily with the AlphaLinQ™ 100 series
visual nurse-call system, but can be used and is backwards
compatible with some older systems as well. The EPS337 is U.L.
1069 listed, to the latest standards.
