SPECIFICAT IONS
The apartment station(s) shall be Alpha
Communications® (V.I.P.™ series) model
IS481C or approved equal. Station faceplate
shall be minimum .035" solid stainless steel.
Momentary action, metal push-buttons shall be
provided for TALK, LISTEN and DOOR functions.
Button markings shall be stamped right on the
faceplate. The speaker/microphone shall be
a 2.75" (70mm) high-sensitivity type with
exc ellent voice-frequency and tone signalling
response. Color coded pigtail wires shall be
provided, and required wiring shall be only
three (3) common wires and one (1) selective.
(Add 1-common wire for systems with individual
apt. door push-buttons that need to
tone through the IS481C stations).

The Alpha Co mmunications® IS481C (V.I.P.™ se ries) a partment intercom
stations are designe d specifically to minimize vandalism and te nant
abuse . Made from .035" thick solid stainless stee l, w ith metal push-
buttons, these stations are built to last. A high se nsitivity 2.75"
(7 0 m m ) spea ke r assure s clear voice communication, a s w ell as
tone signal response.
Th e IS481C is designed to be mounted flush, over existing Loeffler (or
equiva lent) series oversized flush back boxes, and a convenient
backplate is provide d to ada pt to various backboxes and mounting hole
configurations.
Color-coded pigta il w ires make these stations e asy to w ire . The
advance d electronic design permits use in a ny size building.
A w ide variety of optional acce ssories is available to provide additional
functions such as multi-entrance ope ration, post office door re lease, etc.
Stations are also available in custom sizes and w iring configurations.
