Architects' And Engineers' Specifications
The color video-intercom monitor station(s) shall be
Alpha Communications® / S.T.R.™ QwikBUS™ VHC3033-
2X series, 2-wire type or approved equal. Monitor(s) shall be
mounted surface (or desktop using optional model TZ30-XXX series
adapter). Monitor(s) shall include a high quality 4.0" color LCD
screen. Monitors using mirrors or other non-flat type screens, or
coaxial cable shall not be acceptable. Monitor(s) shall feature
front mounted controls for brightness, contrast and horizontal
hold. Monitor handset shall feature electret condenser microphone
for exceptional voice fidelity. Handsets that include carbon
transmitter or other voice technologies shall not be
acceptable. Handset shall have a textured finish and flexible coiled
cord. Handset shall include a door release (KEY SYMBOL)
button. Push button shall be clearly visible and shall be marked in
a different color. Handset shall feature an electronic chime
signal, with a 2nd chime sound for optional private door bell
signaling. Monitor shall be in White (VHC3033-2W), Anthracite
Black (VHC3033-2A),or Titanium (VHC3033-2T) finish, as selected
by architect or building owner/manager.
Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical
and building codes.
VHC3033-2 Series Video-Intercom Monitors
The Alpha Communications® / S.T.R.™ VHC3033-2X QwikBUS™
series 2-wire color monitors are designed to meet virtually any
requirement for video-intercom security, while not requiring any
riser coaxial cabling, or any selective (home-run) wiring.
These attractive monitors are conveniently surface mounted right
on the wall. Monitors can be changed to desk mount with the
addition of an optional model TZ30-XXX series desk adapter.
All VHC3033-2X series QwikBUS™ monitors feature a crystal clear
4.0" color LCD flat screen monitor (measured diagonally), textured
finish handset (to minimize scratches and fingerprints), electronic
chime signaling, flexible coiled cord and one (1) momentary door
release button switch. VHC3033-2X series QwikBUS™ monitors are
available in White (model VHC3033-2W), Anthracite (model
VHC3033-2A), or Titanium (model VHC3033-2T) finish, and can be
intermixed in the same system as the VFS1000 and/or VFS1500
open voice QwikBUS™ monitors.
