Specifications
The entry panel unit(s) shall be Alpha
Communications® VI402 V.I.P.™ series, or
approved equal. Panel(s) shall
be (flush/surface) mount type. Panel(s) shall
include the proper speaker components to
match the apt. intercom stations. Panel(s)
shall have (built-in/separate/no) directory
units. Where supplied, directory unit(s) shall
be made of heavy-gauge brushed stainless
steel, with the name strips protected by a
sheet of clear Polycarbonate. Name insertion
and maintenance shall require the use of a
'Star' head type screwdriver tool. Contractor
shall provide two (2) screwdrivers (per
building), to the building management (or
superintendent), for future directory name
maintenance. Panel(s) shall have solid-metal
pushbuttons, permanently engraved (and
filled) apt. markings and mesh speaker grille to
protect the speaker components. Panel shall
be made of a single sheet of 16 gauge high-
carbon stainless steel.

The Alpha Communications® VI402 V.I.P.™ series Sta inless Stee l (Vandal-Resistant) lobby

Made of hea vy 16 ga uge high-carbon stainless ste el, the VI402 series is made to take
abuse . VI402 pa ne ls are all custom-made to yo ur e xa ct size and layout specifications and
are ava ilable in flush or surface mount styles. Flush VI402 panels ca n be made complete ly
flat, w ith a slight bevel on the e dge s or a 1/2" returned edge (please specify w he n
ordering). Othe r options for the VI402 se ries include postal re lease sw itch (PO402I) built-in,
built-in or separate matching sta inless ste el alpha be tical dire ctories , built-in B&W C CD
camera (CCDCAM-I), built-in COLOR CCD came ra (CCDCAM-CI), and a hos t of optional
spe aker/microphone a nd handse t options.
All VI402 panels fea ture solid metal push-button, engraved apt. markings (right onto the
face of the panel), and building na me / number engraving at the top of the panel (w he re
spa ce a llow s ). The use of 'Star' he ad screw s make s it ne arly impossible to tamper w ith the
pa ne l or directory w ithout the use of the spe cial screw driver tool.
