Note on the “H.U.CONTROL” setting
l
Use the procedure described below to reset the unit if
the power cannot be turned on from the remote control
unit due to the fact that the unit is not connected in an
Alpine AI-NET system or has been disconnected from
an AI-NET system.
1, Connect the remote control sensor unit. (Remote
control operations are not possible unless the
remote control sensor unit is connected.)
2. Press the “V.OUT’ button on the remote control unit
for at least 2 seconds to turn the power on.
3. Press the ‘SET” button on the remote control unit for
at least 2 seconds to display the initial setup
(“SETUP”) menu screen.
(If the disc has started playing, set the stop mode
first.)
4. From the menu, select “CUSTOM SETUP” to
display the custom setup menu.
5. Check the settings on the custom setup menu.
(Refer to page 38 of the operating instructions.)

6. Once the setting has been made, press the
“SET’
button on the remote control unit for at least 2
seconds to turn off the initial setup menu screen.
7. Press the “V.OUF button on the remote control unit
again for at least 2 seconds to turn the power off.
8. Turn the ACC power off.
Resetting is now completed.
Once the ACC power is turned back on, the unit’s power
can now be turned on with the remote control unit’s
“POWER” button.

Check the following if the sound of the head unit or
changer is not produced or the volume is low when the
unit is connected in an Alpine AI-NET system:

Is the “H.U.CONTROL” setting on the initial setup
(“SETUP”) menu set to “OFF”?
+ Change the setting to “ON”.

included remote control unit, these operations cannot be
performed on this unit. Refer to the left figure.
