L IMITED WARRANTY
ALPINE ELECTRONICS OF AMERICA, INC. ("Alpine"), is dedicated to quality craftsmanship and is pleased to offer this Warranty. We suggest that you
read it tho r oug hl y. Shou ld you have any quest ions, please con tact you r Dealer or contact Alpi ne at one of the te l ephone numbers list ed below.
e PRODUCTS COVERED :
This Warr anty covers Car Aud io Pr oducts and Related Accessories ("the
product"). Products purchased in the Canada are covered only in the
Canada. Products purchased in the U.S.A. are covered only in the U.S.A.
e LENGTH OF WARRANTY:
This Warranty is in effect for one year from the date of the first consumer
purchase.
e WHO IS COVERED:
This Warranty on ly covers the original purchaser of the product, who must
reside in the United States, Puerto Rico or Canada.
e WHAT IS COVERED :
This Warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship (parts and labor)
in the product.
e WHAT IS NOT COVERED :
This Warranty does not cover the fo ll owing :
G) Damage occurring du ring shipment of the product to Alpine for repair
(claims must be presented to the carrier).
® Damage caused by accident or abuse, including burned voice coils
caused by over-driving the speaker (amplifier level is turned up and
driven into distortion or clipping). Speaker mechanical failure (e.g.
punctures, tears or rips). Cracked or damaged LCD panels. Dropped or
damaged hard drives.
@ Damage caused by negligence, misuse, improper operation or failure
to follow instructions con t ained in the Owner's manual.
© Damage caused by act of God, including wit h out limitatio n,
earthquake, fire, flood , storms or other acts of nature.
Any cost or expense related to the removal or reinstallation of the
product.
® Service performed by an unauthorized person, company or association.
® Any product which has the serial number defac ed , altered or removed .
(J) Any product which has been adjusted, altered or modified without
Alpine's consent .
@ Any product not distributed by Alpine within the United States, Puerto
Rico or Canada.
® Any product not purchas ed from an Authorized Alpine Dealer.
e HOW TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE :
G) You are responsible for delivery of the product to an Aut horized
Alpine Service Center or Al pine for repair and for payment of any initial
shipping charges. Al pine will, at its opt ion, repair or replace the product
with a new or reconditioned product without charge. If the repairs
are covered by the warranty, and if the product was shipped to an
Authorized Alpine Service Center or Alpine , Alp ine will pay the return
s hipping charges.
® You should provide a detailed description of the problem(s) for wh ich
service is required.
@ You mu st s upply proof of your purchase of the pr oduct.
© You mu st package the pr oduct securely to avoid damage dur i ng
s hipment . To prevent lo st packages it is recommended to use a carrier
that provides a tracking service.
e HOW WE LIMIT IMPLIED WARRANTIES:
ANY IMP LIED WARRANT IES INCLUDING FI TNESS FOR USE AND
MERCHANTABILITY AR E LI MIT ED IN DUR ATION TO THE P ERI OD OF T HE
EXPRESS WARRANTY SET FOR TH ABOVE AND NO PERSON IS AUTHORIZED
TO ASSUME FOR AL PINE ANY OTH ER LI ABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH THE
SALE OF THE PRODUCT.
e HOW WE EXCLUDE CERTAIN DAMAGES:
ALP I NE EXPRESSLY DI SCLA I MS LIABILITY F OR INCIDENTAL AND
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES CAUSED BY THE PR OD U CT. THETERM
"INCIDENTAL DAMAGES" RE FERS TO E XPENSES OF TRANSPO RTI NG THE
PRODUCTTOTHE ALPINE SERV ICE CENTER, L OSS OF THE ORIG I NA L
PURCHAS E R'S TIME, L OSS O F°T HE US E OF THE PRODUCT, BUS FAR E S, CAR
RENT ALS OR OT HERS COS TS RE LA TING TO THE CAR E AND CUSTODY OF THE
PRODUCT. THE TERM "CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES" REFERS TO THE COST OF
REPA I RING OR REPLACING OTH ER PROPERTY WHICH IS DAMAGED WH EN
TH IS PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. THE REMED I ES PROVIDED
UNDER THIS WARRANTY ARE EXCLUS I VE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OT H ERS .
e HOW STATE/PROVINCIAL LAW RELATES TO THE
WARRANTY:
This Wa r ranty gives you specific legal rig hts, and you may also have other
rig hts w hi ch vary from state to state and provi nce to province. In addi t ion ,
some states/ provi nces do not a ll ow limi t ations on how long an imp l ied
wa r ranty lasts, and some do not a ll ow the exclusion or li mitat ion of
incidental or co nsequential damages. Accordingl y, l imi tations as to these
matters contained herein may n ot app ly to you .
e IN CANADA ONLY:
This Warranty is not valid un l ess your Alpine car audio product has been
installed in your vehicle by an Authorized Installation Center , and this
warranty stamped u pon installatio n by the installa ti on center.
