Basic Operation
OPERATION
The opening screen will appear once the
navigation system is turned on.
(If a CVA-1000/CVA-1005 type system
control monitor is used, you may not see this
screen.)
A disclaimer screen appears. Please
read this important information. Press
the ENTER button on the remote control
if you accept this statement.
Once the ENTER button on the remote
control is pressed, the map screen will
appear on the display. The vehicle's
current location is indicated. If the
vehicle's current location is incorrect,
drive the car several miles in an area
with an open view to the sky. This will
correctly synchronize the navigation
system.
Press the MENU button on the remote
control. The main menu bar will appear
at the top of the screen. Tilt the joystick
to highlight the desired menu item then
press the ENTER button.
(In this example, "Dest" is selected.)
The following example briefly describes how to use the Alpine Advanced Route Guidance
Navigation System.
