The ALTAMIT 10 Year Limited Warranty

What the Warranty Covers

Alta Forest Products LLC Inc. warrants to the original end-user purchaser, and not any other purchaser or subsequent

owner, that its Pre-Stained Wood Fence System (the ALTAMIT Fence System includes Fence Boards and Rails, and

expressly excludes posts and any other component not manufactured by Alta Forest Products LLC (the “Fence Sys-

tem”) will not structurally fail** in service due to rot, insect infestation, or fungal decay for a period of ten (10) years from

date of purchase (the “Warranty Period”). The terms, “rot” and “fungal decay,” as used in this warranty, mean attack by

wood-destroying fungi that disintegrate the wood cell walls (**For purposes of this warranty, structural failure is dened

as the inability of a given member to perform its intended function due to rot, insect infestation or fungal decay). If a

valid warranty claim is received within the Warranty Period, Alta Forest Products LLC will, at their discretion, either: (1)

provide a new or refurbished Fence System at no charge, to repair or replace those portions of the Fence System that

structurally failed, or (2) refund the purchase price of any failed portion or portions of the Fence System. Any new or

refurbished components of the Fence System provided by Alta Forest Products LLC under this warranty, will assume

the remaining Warranty Period of the original Fence System.

What is Not Covered by This Limited Warranty

Damage from abnormal or improper use or design, accident, alteration, neglect, abuse, abrasion, air pollutants, improp-

er service or installation**, or damage caused by ood, re, or act of God is not covered by this limited warranty. Fungi

associated with the natural “weathering” of wood is not included. “Weathering” of wood is not decay, fungal decay or

rot of any type or denition (**For purposes of this warranty, your ALTAMIT fence system must be installed with 3 rails

using galvanized or stainless fasteners).

“Weathering” of wood includes, but is not limited to, raised grain, splitting, checking, twisting, warping, shrinkage,

swelling or any other physical properties of the wood.

Alta Forest Products LLC is not responsible for fence board/rails that have been milled, cut, split, sawn, bored, routed,

or altered in any other way after manufacturing.

Alta Forest Products LLC is not responsible for rot, fungal decay or insect infestation damage if the ALTAMIT fence

boards or rails are in contact with the ground.

Protect Your Rights

To protect your rights under this warranty, please return the completed registration form* to Alta Forest Products LLC,

with proof of purchase within 30 days of purchase. Warranty coverage is not conditional upon the return of the regis-

tration form, provided the original owner can furnish proof that the ALTAMIT Fence System was supplied by Alta Forest

Products LLC. A properly lled out warranty registration form completed by the original owner and proof of purchase is

the best proof of coverage under this limited warranty.

General Conditions and Exclusions

THE AMOUNT OF YOUR RESTITUTION WILL NOT INCLUDE LABOR TO INSTALL THE REPLACEMENT COMPONENTS, DELIVERY CHARGES,

SALES TAX OR OTHER CHARGES, NOR IS ALTA FOREST PRODUCTS LLC REQUIRED TO PROVIDE SUCH LABOR OR SERVICE.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES. ALTA FOREST PRODUCTS LLC MAKES NO OTH-

ER EXPRESS WARRANTIES, AND DOES NOT AUTHORIZE ANY OTHER PERSON OR AGENT TO MAKE ANY OTHER EXPRESS

WARRANTIES. ALTA FOREST PRODUCTS LLC NEITHER ASSUMES NOR AUTHORIZES ANY OTHER LIABILITY OR OBLIGATION

IN CONNECTION WITH THIS PRODUCT. EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ALL EXPRESS AND IM-

PLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR

A PARTICULAR PURPOSE WITH RESPECT TO THIS PRODUCT ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE TEN (10) YEAR TERM OF THIS

LIMITED WARRANTY. IN NO EVENT SHALL ALTA FOREST PRODUCTS LLC BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR

INCIDENTAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF, OR CONNECTED WITH, THE PURCHASE OR USE OF THIS PRODUCT OR ANY BREACH

OF WARRANTY.

SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITA-

TION OF INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.

THIS WARRANTY IS APPLICABLE ONLY TO SYSTEMS INSTALLED WITHIN THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA.
