ELECTRIC COMBITHERM DECALCIFICATION
Decalcification ELECTRIC
It is VERY important to decalcify the oven, particularly in areas with extremely hard water.
PERFORM ONCE A MONTH in addition to the daily steam generator flush.
WITH THE OVEN AT ROOM TEMPERATURE
1. Begin decalcification with the power switch in the OFF position.
2. Rotate the Steam Generator Drain Cap until water begins to flow from the four holes in the cap. In
approximately 20 to 60 seconds, a sufficient quantity of water will have drained from the steam generator so
that the drain cap can be completely removed.
3. As the water continues to flow
from the generator, it will have
a milky or cloudy appearance,
which indicates deposits in the
generator system are beginning
to flush out. Let the water
continue to drain until the flow
completely subsides. Replace
the Steam Generator Drain Cap
by turning it clockwise until
there is a slight resistance.
4. Unscrew the cap from the
Decalcification Port . With
the use of a funnel, pour
one-half gallon (c. 2 liters) of
distilled white vinegar into the
Decalcification Port.
5. Replace the cap on the
Decalcification Port
and tighten securely.
Scalding water will erupt from the Decalcification Port when
the oven is operating unless the cap is replaced and tightened.
