Installation Instructions

Overview:
The Altronix R615DC8CB220 CCTV Power Supply is designed with eight (8) individually PTC protected outputs for
powering CCTV Cameras and other video accessories. It provides 6VDC-15VDC distributed via eight (8) PTC outputs
with a total of up to 4A total continuous supply current.
Specifications:
Input:
220VAC, 50/60Hz, 0.5A.
Output:
Eight (8) PTC protected outputs.
6-15VDC @ 4A total output current.
(0.5A per device, 2.5A max.)
Outputs are rated @ 2.5A.
Filtered and electronically regulated outputs.
Short circuit and thermal overload protection.
Features:
Eight (8) power LEDs.
Illuminated master power disconnect
circuit breaker with manual reset.
3-wire grounded line cord.
Removable terminal blocks with
locking screw flange.
Enclosure Dimensions (H x W x D approx.):
3.26” x 19.125” x 8.5” (83mm x 486mm x 216mm)
Installation Instructions:
1. Mount R615DC8CB220 in the desired rack location.
2. Connect green lead to earth ground.
Connect AC (220VAC 50/60 Hz) to the black
and white flying leads of the transformer (Fig. 1).
When using the line cord kit (supplied), insert line cord through plastic knockout
strain relief as shown in diagram (Fig. 2), use loop clamp to secure line cord to cabinet.
Tighten strain relief by twisting cap on outside of unit.
Connect wires as indicated above.
3. Adjust output voltage using trimpot on the board prior to connecting CCTV devices.
4. Measure output voltage before connecting devices. This helps avoiding potential damage.
5. Connect each DC CCTV cameras to the terminal pairs marked [1P-1N through 8P-8N] on the back of the unit (Fig. 1),
carefully observing correct polarity.
Terminals marked [1P - 8P] are positive (+) and terminals marked [1N - 8N] are negative.
CAUTION: Determine the maximum operating voltage of the equipment being powered before adjusting
the output voltage.
6. Tie downs are located near outputs for use with the tie wraps as a strain relief for wiring if needed.
7. LEDs will illuminate when unit is powered.
8. Upon completion of the wiring secure back part of rack with the screws (supplied).
Caution: Equipment to be installed/serviced by authorized/trained personnel only.
Shut branch circuit power before installing/servicing equipment.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the unit to rain or moisture. This
installation should be made by qualified service personnel and should conform to NEC and all local codes.
