To Replace: 1. Line up openings in the burner bowl with the coil element receptacle. Cookware material is a factor in how quickly and evenly heat is transferred, which affects cooking results. A nonstick finish has the same characteristics as its base material. For example, aluminum cookware with a nonstick finish will take on the properties of aluminum. Cookware with nonstick surfaces should not be used under the broiler. Use the following chart as a guide for cookware material characteristics. 2.
Positioning Racks and Bakeware Bakeware IMPORTANT: To avoid permanent damage to the porcelain finish, do not place food or bakeware directly on the oven door or bottom. The bakeware material affects cooking results. Follow manufacturer’s recommendations and use the bakeware size recommended in the recipe. Use the following chart as a guide. Oven Vent A Before broiling, position rack according to the Broiling Chart. It is not necessary to preheat the oven before putting food in unless recommended in the recipe. Position food on grid in the broiler pan, then place it in the center of the oven rack. Close the door. To Broil: 1. Push in and turn oven control knob to BROIL HI or turn to BROIL LO to broil at a lower temperature. 2. After broiling, turn the oven control knob to OFF. BROILING CHART A.
RANGE CARE General Cleaning IMPORTANT: Before cleaning, make sure all controls are off and the oven and cooktop are cool. Always follow label instructions on cleaning products. Soap, water and a soft cloth or sponge are suggested first unless otherwise noted. EXTERIOR PORCELAIN ENAMEL SURFACES Food spills containing acids, such as vinegar and tomato, should be cleaned as soon as the entire appliance is cool. These spills may affect the finish.
OVEN AND ROASTING RACKS 2. Grasp the door on the sides with your fingers on the front of the door and your thumbs on the inside surface. Cleaning Method: Steel-wool pad BROILER PAN AND GRID (on some models) Cleaning Method: Wash frequently in warm sudsy water. (It is not recommended to wash chrome bowls in a dishwasher). A mild abrasive cleaner and a plastic scrubber can be used to remove stubborn stains.
TROUBLESHOOTING Try the solutions suggested here first in order to avoid the cost of an unnecessary service call. Nothing will operate ■ Has a household fuse blown, or has a circuit breaker tripped? Los utensilios de cocina ideales deben tener un fondo plano, lados rectos, una tapa que encaje bien y el material debe ser de un espesor mediano a grueso. Las superficies ásperas pueden rayar la superficie de cocción o las parrillas. El aluminio y el cobre pueden emplearse como núcleo o base en los utensilios de cocina. Sin embargo, al ser usados como base, pueden dejar marcas permanentes en la superficie de cocción o las parrillas.
UTENSILIOS DE HORNEAR El aire caliente debe poder circular alrededor de la comida para cocinar uniformemente, y de ese modo permitir que haya un espacio de 2" (5 cm) alrededor del utensilio de hornear y de las paredes del horno. Cerciórese de que ningún utensilio para hornear esté directamente encima del otro.
Cómo asar El asador usa calor radiante directo para cocinar los alimentos. Para obtener un control más preciso, cambie la temperatura mientras esté asando. Cuanto más baja sea la temperatura, más lenta será la cocción. Los cortes más espesos y los pedazos de carne, pescado y aves con forma irregular se pueden cocinar mejor a temperaturas para asar más bajas. ■ Para obtener los mejores resultados, utilice una charola para asar y una parrilla.
CONTROLES DE LA SUPERFICIE DE COCCIÓN Para evitar daños en los controles de la superficie de cocción, no use estopa de acero, productos de limpieza abrasivos ni limpiador de horno. No remoje las perillas. Cuando vuelva a colocar las perillas, asegúrese de que las mismas estén en la posición OFF (Apagado). En algunos modelos, no quite los obturadores que están debajo de las perillas. Puerta del horno Para un uso normal de la estufa, no se aconseja quitar la puerta del horno. Sin embargo, si es necesario quitarla, asegúrese de que el horno esté apagado y frío. Después, siga estas instrucciones. La puerta del horno es pesada. SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS Primero pruebe las soluciones sugeridas aquí para evitar el costo innecesario del servicio. Nada funciona Para quitarla: 1. Abra la puerta del horno.
