RANGE SAFETY Your safety and the safety of others are very important. We have provided many important safety messages in this manual and on your appliance. Always read and obey all safety messages. This is the safety alert symbol. This symbol alerts you to potential hazards that can kill or hurt you and others. All safety messages will follow the safety alert symbol and either the word “DANGER” or “WARNING.
The Anti-Tip Bracket The range will not tip during normal use. However, the range can tip if you apply too much force or weight to the open door without the anti-tip bracket fastened down properly. WARNING Tip Over Hazard A child or adult can tip the range and be killed. Verify the anti-tip bracket has been properly installed and engaged per installation instructions. Re-engage anti-tip bracket if range is moved. Do not operate range without anti-tip bracket installed and engaged.

WARNING Food Poisoning Hazard Do not let food sit in oven more than one hour before or after cooking. Doing so can result in food poisoning or sickness.
KEYPAD FEATURE INSTRUCTIONS BAKE ASSIST TEMPS Baking and roasting 1. Press desired Bake Assist Temp keypad. 2. Press the Temp/Time “up” or “down” arrow keypad until desired temperature is reached. A tone will sound if the minimum or maximum temperature is reached. 3. Press START. 4. Press OFF/CANCEL when finished. NOTE: The convection fan will shut off when the oven door is opened. If the oven door remains open for too long, the heating elements will shut off until the oven door is closed.
To Set: To Clean: 1. Push in and turn knob counterclockwise to LITE. IMPORTANT: All surface burners will click. Only the burner with the control knob turned to LITE will produce a flame. 2. Turn knob to anywhere between High and Low. IMPORTANT: Before cleaning, make sure all controls are OFF and the cooktop is cool. Do not use oven cleaners, bleach, or rust removers. 1. Remove the burner cap and the burner base, and clean according to the “General Cleaning” section. 2.
Use the following chart as a guide for cookware material characteristics. Burner Size Select a burner that best fits your cookware. See the following illustration and chart. Cookware Characteristics Aluminum ■ Heats quickly and evenly. ■ Suitable for all types of cooking. ■ Medium or heavy thickness is best for most cooking tasks. ■ Heats slowly and evenly. ■ Good for browning and frying. ■ Maintains heat for slow cooking. ■ Follow manufacturer’s instructions.
OVEN USE The normal operation of the range will include several noises that may be heard each time the Bake or Broil burners ignite during the cooking cycle: ■ Gas valves may make a “popping” sound when opening or closing. Igniters will “click” several times until a flame is sensed. A “poof” sound is heard when a bake or broil burner ignites. Odors and smoke are normal when the oven is used the first few times or when it is heavily soiled.
On the Holiday, the oven temperature can be changed once the oven is in Sabbath mode by pressing the Temp/Time “up” or “down” arrow keypad. The oven temperature will change 25°F (14°C) each time the Temp/Time “up” and “down” arrow keypads are pressed. Press START to activate the new temperature. The display will not change, and there will be no sounds during this adjustment. To Activate and Bake Using Sabbath Mode: 1. Press BAKE. 2. Press the Temp/Time “up” or “down” arrow keypad. 3. Press START. 4.
Baking and Roasting RANGE CARE NOTE: The convection fan will shut off when the oven door is opened. If the oven door remains open for too long, the heating elements will shut off until the oven door is closed. All timers, including any active Cook Time or Timed Cook functions, will continue to count down. The bake and broil burners cycle on and off in intervals. This feature is automatically activated when the oven is in use.
To Self-Clean: 1. Press CLEAN. 2. Press the Temp/Time “up” or “down” arrow keypad to enter the desired Self-Cleaning cycle time. 3. Press START. The oven door will automatically lock. The Door Locked and Clean indicator lights will be displayed. The time remaining will also be displayed. 4. When the Self-Cleaning cycle is complete and the oven cools, the Door Locked and Clean indicator lights will turn off. 5. When the oven is completely cooled, remove ash with a damp cloth.
Oven Light The oven lights are 120 V, 40 W maximum halogen bulbs. They will come on when the oven door is opened. The oven lights will not work during the Self-Cleaning cycle. When the door is closed, touch the appropriate Oven Light keypad to turn on the oven light. 3. Replace bulb, using tissue or wearing cotton gloves to handle bulb. To avoid damage to or decreasing the life of the new bulb, do not touch bulb with bare fi ngers. 4. Replace oven light globe by screwing it back into place. 5.
Problem Possible Causes and/or Solutions Excessive heat around cookware on cooktop Cookware that is not the proper size: The cookware should be centered above the burner with the bottom sitting level on the grate. The flame should be adjusted so that it does not extend up the sides of the pan. Cooktop cooking results not what expected Improper cookware: Ideal cookware should have a flat bottom, straight sides, and a well-fitting lid, and the material should be of a medium-to-heavy thickness.
Noises Problem Possible Causes and/or Solutions Surface burner making popping noises Wet burner: Allow it to dry. Gas range noises during Bake and Broil operations The following are some normal sounds with the explanations. These sounds are normal operational noises that can be heard each time the Bake or Broil burners ignite during the cycle. Pop Gas valve is opening or cycling on and will make a single pop when it snaps open from the solenoid.

Nettoyage : IMPORTANT : Avant le nettoyage, s’assurer que toutes les commandes sont désactivées et que la table de cuisson a refroidi. Ne pas utiliser de nettoyants à four, d’agents de blanchiment ou de décapants à rouille. 1. Enlever le chapeau et la base du brûleur et nettoyer tel qu’indiqué à la section “Nettoyage général”. 2. Nettoyer l’ouverture du tube d’arrivée de gaz avec un chiffon humide. 3. Nettoyer les orifices de brûleur obstrués avec une épingle droite tel qu’indiqué.
Ustensiles de cuisson IMPORTANT : Ne pas laisser d’ustensile de cuisson vide sur une surface de cuisson, un élément ou un brûleur de surface chauds. L’ustensile de cuisson idéal doit avoir un fond plat, des parois droites, un couvercle qui ferme hermétiquement et le matériau doit être d’épaisseur moyenne à forte. Les finis rugueux peuvent érafler la table de cuisson ou les grilles. L’aluminium et le cuivre peuvent être utilisés comme fond ou base d’un ustensile de cuisson.
UTILISATION DU FOUR Le fonctionnement normal de la cuisinière inclut plusieurs bruits qui peuvent être entendus chaque fois que les brûleurs de cuisson au four ou de cuisson au gril s’allument durant le programme de cuisson : ■ Les robinets de gaz peuvent faire un bruit “sec” lorsqu’ils s’ouvrent ou se ferment. Les allumeurs émettront plusieurs déclics jusqu’à ce qu’une flamme soit détectée. Un bruit “d’affaissement” se fait entendre lorsque le brûleur de cuisson au four ou de cuisson au gril s’allume.
Lorsque le courant est rétabli après une panne de courant, le four retourne au mode Sabbat et conserve les modalités du mode Sabbat avec les éléments de cuisson au four désactivés jusqu’à ce que l’on appuie sur la touche Off/Cancel (arrêt/annulation). ENTRETIEN DE LA CUISINIÈRE Programme d’autonettoyage (sur certains modèles) AVERTISSEMENT Commande électronique de four avec tempsd’autonettoyage ajustable (sur certains modèles) Le programme d’autonettoyage est réglable entre 2 h 30 et 4 h 30 par tranches de 30 minutes. Les durées de nettoyage suggéréessont de 2 h 30 pour des saletés légères et de 4 h 30 pour des saletés abondantes. Autonettoyage : Risque de brûlures Ne pas toucher le four au cours du programme d'autonettoyage.
ACIER INOXYDABLE (sur certains modèles) REMARQUE : Afin d’éviter d’endommager les surfaces en acier inoxydable, ne pas utiliser de tampons à récurer savonneux, de nettoyants abrasifs, de crème à polir pour table de cuisson, de tampons en laine d’acier, de chiffons de lavage rêches ou d’essuie-tout abrasifs. Ils peuvent endommager les surfaces en acier inoxydable, même après usage unique ou limité. Méthode de nettoyage : Frotter dans la direction du grain pour éviter les dommages.
