Test Procedure
VISUAL INSPECTION STAGE
1. Physical checks
• All screws for tightness, referring to the torque setting of the manufacturing tools
• Capacitors for polarity where applicable
• All wiring points for good contacts (soldering and crimping)
PRETESTING
PRE TESTING SETUP REQUIREMENT
a) Oscilloscope
b) Variac
c) Multimeter
d) Load [8ohm]
2. Set up device for test :
2.1. Fuse check
2 x DC fuses (3.15A), 20x5mm
1 x AC fuses (2A), 20x5mm
2.2. Connections
Connect unit to:
Variac (240Vac), power initially off
Signal generator (DVD1 left input, no signal)
Resistive load (8ohm on left amplifier output) with meters/oscilloscope
3. Power up :
Adjust voltage to 240VAC. Turn on variac power. Watch current meter for excess current
draw.
(P/F) Current shall not exceed <?>A (AC current)
3.1. Voltages
(P/F) Measure the following DC voltages with a multimeter referenced to ground
testpoint TP6 on the 07900 PCB.
Location Pass Range
Low Rail Filtered Pos U7 pin 1 7VDC to 10VDC
Low Rail Filtered Neg U8 pin 2 -7VDC to -10VDC
Regulated +5V TP1 4.7VDC to 5.3VDC
Regulated -5V TP3 -4.7VDC to –5.3VDC
High Rail Filtered Pos TP4 35VDC to 39VDC
High Rail Filtered Neg TP5 -35VDC to -39VDC
4. Programming :
Connect the programming pod to connector CN11 and follow the programming procedure
document.
(P/F) The programming must complete successfully.
5. Functional Checks :
5.1. General Operation
