Sensormatic’s SensorSmart
TM
system is the first commercially available suite of
RFID products to include the integration of application software for the retail
market. At the center of the system is an intelligent tag that stores information
about a product as it moves through the supply chain. Through the use of an
RFID reader equipped with application software, this information can then be
captured anywhere at any time and transferred into a computer database,
providing retailers and manufacturers with a host of supply chain management
applications including inventory management, shipment tracking, content
verification, automated returns and anti-counterfeiting solutions among others.
