Medium Gray Lava Stones Shown Above
American Fire Glass™ ‘Lava Stonesare formed when volcanic lava comes into contact with cool water
from the ocean and hardens as a result. The naturally occurring lava stones are gathered up and then go
through a process which removes any sharp edges and gives them their uniform shape. Because they are
volcanic, they can withstand extreme temperatures without crumbling or exploding.
Lava stones give a truly unique and stylish look to any gas fireplace which is a refreshing change from the
usual firewood. This lava stone should be used only with ¼ lava rock. The best part is they require no
maintenance at all!

CAUTION: ‘Lava Stonesare not designed to be used without a proper lava
rock media base. For optimal results, our recommendation is to pour a minimum
of 2-inches over your burner, which allows the gas to filter evenly through the
media - creating a beautiful flame.
