Recovery Application (RRA)
MegaRAC G3 Card Remote Recovery Application (RRA)
The Remote Recovery Application (RRA) is a recovery tool that can be executed from a
remote client system located on the same network as the MegaRAC G3 card. You can use
it to recover a failed flash attempt.
To run the MegaRAC G3 Remote Recovery Application (RRA), double left click on the
RRA.exe icon.
Note: You must physically set the MegaRAC G3 card you want to recover into Recovery Mode.
To do this, simply short pins two and three on jumper JP12 on your MegaRAC G3 card.
Note: Your MegaRAC G3 card must be write enabled before you can flash an image to it.
Confirm that pins one and two on jumper JP11 are shorted on your MegaRAC G3 card.
Note: The firmware upgrade process is a crucial operation. Make sure that the chances of a
power or connectivity loss are minimal when performing this operation.
Button Description
Card Settings Left click the Card Settings button to configure the MegaRAC G3 card parameters.
Note: You must configure the card parameters before you start flashing.
Start Flashing Left click the Start Flashing button to begin flashing the firmware image to your
MegaRAC G3 card.
Done Left click the Done button to end the MegaRAC G3 Remote Recovery Application (RRA).
Note: You must configure the card parameters before you can start flashing your MegaRAC G3
