BUN FEET INSTALLATION AND WOOD FINISHING TIPS

Things needed:

 Bun feet with Hanger threaded bolt

 Pencil

 Wood Glue

 Drill and drill bit

 Measuring tape or ruler

 Sofa, Cabinet or other furniture

 Screw driver

 Level foot plates and screws

2 METHODS OF INSTALLING BUN FEET

Option 1: Direct Fit

Prepare:

 Mark with a pencil where the bun foot will be placed.

 Drill the bottom of the furniture with a 5/16 inch drill bit

Install:

 Screw the bun foot into the drilled hole in the furniture. Remember, our bun feet come with a pre-

attached 5/16-18 Thread bolt.

 Install with bolt clockwise direction into the bottom of the furniture. Make sure that each bun foot is

flush with the underside of furniture. It should attach snugly.

Option 2: Foot Plates Prepare:  Position the metal plates unto the cabinet where the bun foot will be placed. Screw the plates to the furniture securely to the underside of the cabinet. Install:  Line up the hanger bolt into the Center hole of the foot plates and Install clockwise bun foot into metal plate. Make sure that each bun foot is flush with the underside of furniture. It should attach snugly.

Prepare: Decide which Type of Stain to use. You could use either an Oil base or Acrylic based Stain. Whichever you decide, you will also be using the same type of Sealer to finish up the staining process. When staining, make sure the room temperature is between 70 and 75 degrees for best results. Also it is very important to test your stain colors on smaller samples of wood so that you know exactly what finish you will achieve. Steps: 1. SANDING. American Pro Décor hardwoods are mostly ready to be stained.
