SPEED REDUCTION INSTRUCTIONS
200 Series 150cc LUTV

Congratulations on the purchase of your 200 series
LUTV! These instructions will guide you through the
installation of the speed reduction kit for the 150cc
Light Utility Vehicle. Carefully read these
instructions and familiarize yourself with the tools
and parts required before starting the installation
process.
Kit Contents
The speed reduction kit is a simple installation,
requiring only the 20MPH Speed Limited CDI
included in this kit.
Tools required for installation
Please gather the required tools and familiarize
yourself with the installation process. The tools will
be mentioned in italic text for easy recognition.
Standard Screwdriver Phillips Screwdriver
Wear proper eye protection during this, and any installation and
assembly process where tools are used.
RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH
Ensure that the kart engine is turned off and that the kart has cooled
down before installing the speed reduction kit. Serious injury could
occur from moving or hot parts.
1-Removing the Factory Installed CDI
• Find the electrical control box located on top of
the engine, just next to the air-box. (REF FIG 1)
• Using the Standard Screwdriver, carefully
remove the screw plugs and set aside for later
use
• Using the Phillips Screwdriver, unscrew the two
(2) cover hold down screws.
• Unsnap the electrical cover from the base plate
and gently set aside to expose the kart wiring.
NOTE: BE CAREFUL TO KEEP THE ENGINE STOP
SWITCH WIRING ATTACHED TO THE COVER.
• Locate the Factory CDI and unplug. (REF FIG 2)
• Keep the Factory CDI such that the kart can be
returned to the normal speed setting at a later
time if desired.
2-Installing the 20MPH Speed Limited CDI
• Simply plug in the Speed Limited CDI supplied in the
kit, ensuring that the plug tabs lock into place.
• Re-install the electrical cover, ensuring that no
wires are pinched or smashed during the
process.
• Install the cover hold down screws using a
Phillips Screwdriver.
• Replace the screw hole plugs to prevent debris
from covering the screw head.
The installation of the speed limiter is now complete.
Refer to your Owners/Operators Manual for engine
starting and operation instructions. Always read and
follow the instructions in the Owner’s manual and
any accompanying supplements before attempting
to operate this LUTV. As well, make sure to view the
Operations and Safety video.
