1 REMOVE OLD TOILET

a. Close toilet supply valve and flush tank completely. Towel or sponge remaining water from tank and bowl.

b. Disconnect and remove supply line. NOTE: If replacing valve, first shut off main water supply!

c. Remove old mounting hardware, remove toilet and plug floor waste opening to prevent escaping sewer gases.

d. Remove closet bolts from flange and clean away old wax, putty, etc. from base area.

NOTE: Mounting surface must be clean and level before new toilet is installed!

INSTALL WAX SEAL

Invert toilet on floor (cushion to prevent damage), and install wax

ring evenly around waste flange (horn), with tapered end of ring

facing toilet. Apply a thin bead of sealant around toilet base.

5 6 POSITION TOILET ON FLANGE a. Unplug floor waste opening and install toilet on closet flange so bolts project through mounting holes. INSTALL TOILET a. Position toilet squarely to wall and, with a rocking motion, press bowl down fully on wax ring and flange. Alternately tighten nuts until toilet is firmly seated on floor. ! CAUTION: DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN NUTS OR BASE MAY BE DAMAGED! b. Loosely install retainer washers and nuts. Side of washers marked "THIS SIDE UP" must face up! b.

9 ADJUSTMENTS a. Adjust water level. Water level should be adjusted to level indicated on tank by adjusting float cup. Fig. 9B See Step 10 for water level adjustment method. b. If bowl fails to siphon, an adjustment may be required with the lift chain. Simply remove the bead chain from the retainment clip (see Fig. 9B) and take up slack on the chain, and reinsert on lift rod. Make sure the chain is not too taught.

6 COLOCACIÓN DEL INODORO SOBRE LA BRIDA INSTALACIÓN DEL INODORO a. Coloque el inodoro haciendo escuadra con la pared y, balanceándolo, presiónelo hacia abajo sobre el anillo de cera y la brida. Apriete las tuercas alternadamente hasta que el inodoro se asiente con firmeza en el piso. a. Destape el desagüe del piso e instale el inodoro sobre la brida de manera que los tornillos pasen por los orificios de montaje del inodoro. ! b. Instale las arandelas de retención y las tuercas sin apretar mucho.

9 Fig. 9B AJUSTES a. Ajuste el nivel del agua. El nivel del agua en el tanque deberá ajustarse al nivel indicado, utilizando el flotador. Para el método de ajuste del nivel del agua, ver el paso 10. b. Si la taza no descarga agua (no hace sifón), puede ser necesario ajustar la cadena de la válvula de descarga. Sólo retire la cadena del sujetador (vea la Fig. 9b), tense la cadena y reinserte en el brazo de la manija. Asegúrese de que la cadena no quede demasiado tirante.

5 6 POSE DE LA TOILETTE SUR LA COLLERETTE INSTALLATION DE LA TOILETTE a. Aligner la toilette avec le mur et, en la balançant appuyer sur la cuvette vers le bas complètement sur la rondelle en cire et la collerette. Resserrer les écrous en alternant jusqu'à ce que la toilette soit solidement appuyée au sol. a. Dégager l'ouverture du renvoi dans le plancher et installer la toilette sur la collerette de manière à ce que les boulons passent à travers les trous de montage.

Fig. 9B RÉGLAGES a. Ajuster le niveau de l’eau. Le niveau d'eau doit correspondre au niveau indiqué sur le réservoir en réglant la hauteur du flotteur. Se reporter à l'étape 10 pour connaître la méthode d'ajustement de l'eau. b. Si la cuvette ne se vide pas, la chaîne de levage pourrait nécessiter un ajustement. Enlever tout simplement la chaînette du collier de serrage (voir Fig. 9B), la remonter pour enlever du jeu et la réinsérer dans la tige de levage. S'assurer que la chaîne n'est pas trop tendue.
