NOTE: Take extra care in handling the front surfaces of the walls. Use only non-abrasive cloths to avoid scratching.

NOTE: Remove protective plastic coating material from surface of panel before installation.

REQUIRED TOOLS AND MATERIALS

BEFORE YOU BEGIN....

Local building codes vary by location. Observe all local plumbing and building codes.

Unpack your new shower walls and inspect them carefully for damage. Verify that the walls are the correct size for your

installation. Refer to American Standard roughing-in information for specific dimensions for each model.

PREPARATION: Must be installed over SHEETROCK/GREENBOARD or CEMENT/CONCRETE.

A) WALL SURFACE PREPARATION

Ensure wall surface is dry, smooth, and free of dust, soap

scum, mold or other contaminants. Wipe wall surfaces with

a damp cloth and allow to dry.

Wall surface must be dry before panels can be applied.

Ensure that alcove is plumb and square. (Illustration 1)

INSTALLATION over OLD TILE

Rough up glossy tile surfaces using belt sander with

60-grit sandpaper.

Surface must be dry, smooth and free of any dust or any

other contaminants.

Wipe wall surfaces with a damp cloth and allow to dry.

B) ROUGH PLUMBING & FITTINGS MUST BE INSTALLED

BEFORE WALLS

Turn off hot & cold water supplies.

Remove faucet handles, escutcheons, filler spouts and any

other fixtures & fittings (e.g. towel bars, soap dishes, etc.).

Use hammer & chisel to remove objects cemented to walls.

Old ceramic tiles, if solidly adhered to walls, need not be removed.

Loose ceramic tiles must be removed and sub walls sanded smooth.

C) IF YOU PLAN TO INSTALL A SHOWER DOOR

Follow manufacturer’s instructions and prepare stud wall accordingly.

1 DRY FITTING THE PANELS ON THE WALL 1) Dry fit the panels starting with the rear panel first keeping it centered, equal distance between the 2 rear corners of the wall. Mark a vertical line top to bottom at the corner edges of the panel on the rear wall to ensure panel is centered between the 2 corners as a reference.

INSTALLING THE CORNER PANELS 1) Place corner panel into rear corner of shower and check for proper fit of corner panel to shower walls. Ensure corner panels completely overlap both rear and side panels by at least 1/4" (6mm). 2) Apply adhesive to one rear corner at a time (as illustrated) top to bottom, side to side and on back of the corner panel and place into rear corner of shower. Press firmly to hold in place.

POST INSTALLATION CLEAN-UP Remove all construction debris. Tile grout can be removed with a wooden popsicle stick or tongue depressor. Do not use wire brushes or any other metal implement on surface. Post installation clean-up generally can be completed using warm water and liquid dishwashing detergent. Stubborn dirt or stains may be removed using granular Spic and Span® mixed with water. Painter's naphtha can be used to remove excess adhesives and/or wet oil-base paint.

1 INSTALAR EN SECO LOS PANELES EN LA PARED 1) Instale en seco los paneles empezando por el panel posterior. Primero céntrelo a igual distancia entre las dos esquinas posteriores de la pared. Marque una línea vertical de arriba a abajo en los bordes de la esquina del panel en la pared posterior para que el panel esté centrado entre las dos esquinas como referencia.

3 INSTALAR LOS PANELES ESQUINA 1) Coloque el panel esquina en la esquina posterior de la ducha y verifique que el panel esquina encaje bien en las paredes de la ducha. Los paneles esquina deben superponerse completamente por lo menos 1/4" (6mm) con los paneles posterior y lateral. 2) Aplique adhesivo a una esquina posterior por vez (como se ilustra) de arriba hacia abajo, de un lado al otro, y en la parte trasera del panel esquina. Colóquelo en la esquina posterior de la ducha.

LIMPIEZA POSTERIOR A LA INSTALACIÓN Retire todos los desechos de construcción. La lechada de los azulejos puede retirarse usando un palito de paleta o un abate lengua de madera. No utilice cepillos de alambre ni otro implemento de metal sobre la superficie. La limpieza posterior a la instalación generalmente puede realizarse usando agua tibia y detergente líquido para vajilla. La suciedad o manchas rebeldes pueden limpiarse usando Spic and Span® granular mezclado con agua.

1 INSTALLATION À SEC DES PANNEAUX MURAUX 1) Installer les panneaux à sec en commençant par le panneau arrière d’abord en le centrant, à égale distance entre les deux coins arrière du mur. Tracer une ligne verticale de haut en bas aux coins du panneau sur le mur arrière pour s’assurer que le panneau est centré entre les deux angles aux fins de référence. Voir image 2.

3 INSTALLER LES PANNEAUX D’ANGLE 1) Placer le panneau d’angle dans l’angle arrière de la douche et vérifier l’ajustement du panneau d’angle avec les parois de la douche. S’assurer que les panneaux d’angle chevauchent complètement les panneaux arrières et latéraux d’au moins 1/4 po (6 mm). 2) Appliquer de l’adhésif à un angle arrière à la fois (comme illustré) de haut en bas, d'un côté à l’autre et sur l’arrière du panneau d’angle puis le placer dans l’angle arrière de la douche.

NETTOYAGE APRÈS INSTALLATION Retirez tous les déchets de construction. Le coulis du carrelage peut être retiré à l’aide d’un bâton de popsicle en bois, ou d'un abaisse-langue. Ne pas utiliser de brosse métallique ou autre matériel en métal. Le nettoyage après installation se fait habituellement à l'aide d'eau chaude et d'un savon liquide à vaisselle. Les taches résistantes peuvent être retirées à l'aide d'une pierre Spic and SpanMD et de l'eau.
