INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
TUB OR SHOWER WALLS
For the best t, the opening measurements should be veried against the actual tub or shower base received.
Local building codes vary by location. Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
NOTE: Read instructions completely before proceeding with installation.
TOOLS & MATERIALS REQUIRED
TOOLS: MATERIALS:
• Level • Drill or Screw Gun • Drop Cloth
• Pencil • Suction Cups • Adhesive - Loctite Power Grab Ultimate
• Square • Slip Joint Pliers or Loctite Power Grab Tub Surround
• Tape Measure • Screw Driver • Sealant - DAP 3.0 Advanced Hybrid Sealant
• Pipe Wrench • Standard Woodworking Tools or DAP KWIK Seal Ultra
• 1/8" Drill Bit • Personal Safety Equipment • 2x6 Framing Material for Blocking
• Utility Knife • Heavy Duty Caulking Gun • Corner Angle Reinforcement
• Jig Saw • Skill Saw, 60 to 80 Teeth
• Hole Saw, 1-1/4"

ALCOVE PREPARATION
Remove any tub and drywall surface and
ensure that the oor and stud walls are
square and plumb on a level oor.

BLOCKING FOR COMPONENTS
Add Blocking for components (curtain rod, grab bars, etc). Block material should be 2x6's at least 8" long.
All installed components must be screwed into blocks. Toggle bolts are not acceptable.
NOTE: Install tub or shower base per manufacturer's instructions

PROTECTION OF TUB OR SHOWER BASE
Tape over the tub or shower base drain to protect the nish and prevent construction debris from entering the drain.
Cover with protective material until project is completed.
PREPARE WATER RESISTANT DRYWALL
Once alcove area has all blocking and plumbing installed, drywall can be prepared, cut and trimmed
where any plumbing xtures will be installed.
