Installation Instructions

Agrilite Greca and Agrilite 9” PVC Liner Panel
Storage and Installation Guide
Handling & Storage
Panels should be transported and stored lying flat. Do not stack longer panels on top of shorter panels.
Sheets will be shipped on skids or in custom built crates. Do not store panels outside in direct sunlight.
Cutting & Drilling
Use a circular saw at high speed (but slow advance rate) with a blade designed to cut plastic. Cutting 3 or 4
panels at one time is recommended. For curved cutting, jigsaw or metal cutting shears are appropriate.
During all cutting, sheets must be secured down to insure clean cuts. Use a drill bit designed for metal to
pre-drill holes 5/64” larger than screw diameter. Always support the panels where drilling. Clean sheets
before installation of any debris created by cutting or drilling.
Installation of Panels
Before panel installation, the sheet temperature should be equal to the inside temperature to avoid warping
and deformation. Panels can be installed on ceilings with corrugations running perpendicular or parallel to
the main supports. For sloped applications, corrugation should run with slope. On horizontal sloped
ceilings, start fastening the panels at the bottom moving toward the top of the ceiling. Do not fasten sheets
at both ends and move in from both ends to the middle. This will cause sagging and ripples in the panel
surface. Stretching and forcing panels to overlap will cause distortion and stress which will damage the
sheet surface as well as affect the sheet performance over time.
Note: Proper alignment is a key factor; we recommend two crews totaling 5 to 6 people to achieve proper
installation results.
Loading Guidelines
Maximum distance between wall girts and ceiling purlins (supports) is 24which will allow a 20 pound psf
dead load. Any span over 24” will result in increased deflection. Maximum recommended sheet length is
20’4”. Sheets over 25’ may experience possible warping and difficulty in proper installation results. We
recommend covering long spans by overlapping sheet lengths a minimum of 4 inches to insure coverage of
large areas. Only one corrugation overlap is required on sides of panels.
Note: In extreme wet areas, please use rubber-sealing strip along width and length of lapped sheets.
Bending Radius
Minimum bending radius is 13’.
Fastening – Fasteners and Washers
Sheet should be fastened in the valley of every third corrugation. If insulation is being used, fasten every
second corrugation. Pre-drill holes 5/64” larger than screw diameter. Use either self-tapping, self-drilling,
or Woodmate screws with a minimum ¾” bonded washer. Avoid over tightening of screws, which may
cause distortion of the sheets leading to possible cracks and fractures.
Sealants
Use manufacture approved silicone sealant for PVC. Unapproved sealants may chemically attack the
Agrilite liner panels. Corrugated foam closure strips are also available upon request. These closure strips
seal panel ends from wind, debris, water and insects.
