Ames® Peel & Stick™ Seam Tape is a
contouring, self-adhesive, heavy duty seam
tape that is the perfect match with any of our
coatings. Peel & Stick™ Seam Tape reinforces
and creates a barrier over roof vents, flashings,
seams in metal, or any crack or gap. Changes
in temperature cause your home to expand
and contract. Ames® Seam Tape reinforces
these areas to resist cracking.

lean the surface and remove all loose paint, dirt,
oil, and greases leaving surface clean and
completely dry. Always run a test patch first in an
inconspicuous area to ensure that proper adhesion
occurs, and the product works to your satisfaction.
Peel off the backing and line it up with the seam or
crack. Press firmly over entire surface. Coat with
appropriate Ames Research Laboratories coating.
Coat 1 2” over the edges of tape.
With weighted roll, roll out any air bubbles in
surface. For Extreme air bubbles, with razor, create
small puncture and apply weighted roller over
bubble. Peel & Stick Seam compound will reseal
itself.
